Charlotte Avenue-Richland Park Corridor Meeting Tuesday (Feb. 12)

The second of several public meetings designed to seek input regarding the Charlotte Avenue/Richland Park Detailed Corridor Design Plan is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public, and it will be held at Breen Hall in St. Ann Catholic Church’s Parish Life Center (5101 Charlotte Avenue).

The Metro Planning Commission has prepared a PDF document with more information about the project.

Membership meeting tomorrow night (Feb. 11)

SPNA will hold its February membership meeting tomorrow night (Monday, Feb. 11) at 7 p.m. in the basement of the Cohn Adult Learning Center at the intersection of 48th and Park Avenues. If you’re a regular at the membership meeting, see you there. If you aren’t, now is an especially good time to get involved. There are a lot of fun activities coming up this spring and summer, so join us and get involved. See you tomorrow.

Nashville Calendar updates now available

The Nashville Calendar has emerged as a popular printed date book of local events during the past few years. The calendar’s Web site now features event updates that were announced after the print version was released last fall. Take a look if you are looking for something fun to do or making sure that you’ve picked a “safe” weekend to take a trip out of town.

New Vision also helping Nashvillians go green

Speaking of local conservation efforts, New Vision is another area organization working to raise awareness of sustainable living in Middle Tennessee. Sue Shann, one of the group’s organizers, hosts a community access TV show called Earth Revolution.
